Nora turns six

There was a dinner with her grandparents and presents one day and on her birthday a first sleepover to mark the occasion. Nora requested pizza with pepperoni and bell peppers with glazed carrots on the side for her birthday meal. And there was a jelly roll for dessert. And afterward lots of playing and giggling with Grace. You can see two cute pictures of the girls that Andrea took here.

Grandma made her a princess dress. Anja sent a summer dress that Helena was happy to model. And she was given coloring books and art supplies that have been used almost every day since. It's hard to believe that she is already six!

Liisa graduates again

We went up to Spokane to visit with Aunt Liisa on the day she got her Masters degree from WSU. In Riverside Park we rode the carousel, slid down the big wagon slide, fed some garbage to the garbage goat, and watched the ducks and geese. We had lunch at a French restaurant that had embraced the local food trend. Mark had the duck hash. After lunch Nora went to the ceremony with her grandparents and Paul while Mark and I took the other kids shopping. Mark's favorite Spokane store is White Elephant. Henry and Helena enjoyed their complimentary rides on the mechanical elephant. Dinner was at a more casual French bakery and then we headed home.

Another tooth gone

Nora lost tooth number four last Thursday. She looks and sounds different now!
