Day Trip to Dayton

We visited one of the small towns near here on Saturday. The oldest surviving train depot in the state is there. The main street has fun shops.
We had a delicious lunch and dessert at the Weinhard Cafe. (Try the blackberry cobbler or chocolate toffee tart.)And huge ice cream cones at a local bakery.Outside of town there is a fromagerie. We bought cheese, picked and ate peas, and chatted with the goat herd.
The kids played at the park while some of the adults shopped at a small lavender/craft store. After a dinner on the patio of the Whoopemup Hollow Cafe in Waitsburg we headed home.

At least something likes the wet weather

The first sunflower and first day lily bloomed today.

This is why

I do not like those count down baby tickers that you see everywhere. I do not need a constant reminder that my baby was supposed to be born x number of days ago.

At least

I have the satisfaction of being right. I knew she would be late and indeed she is. She passed her non-stress test today with flying colors so we will just continue to wait for her arrival.

Happy children chasing bubbles

We have had a rainy week, but there have been a few nice afternoons or evenings. Last night the kids got to run around before dinner. Nora is wearing the new skirt Grandma made her for her birthday.
