Quite the outfit

Nora and Henry were in desperate need of new tennis shoes so we went out the night before our trip to Idaho to try to find some.
Nora's look seemed worth recording.

More birthday cake

A visiting aunt is a perfect excuse for another birthday cake, don't you think?

Another visit with the Wienermobile

Anja and the Wienermobile were both in town.
We were there before they opened the door and took some pictures outside. Then we did a super fast shopping trip and came out to take our turn inside.
Mark called while we were there. It's silly, but it was kid of fun to be taking calls in the Oscar Mayer Wienermobile.
Some friends saw it driving down the highway between stops. It would be fun to see it unexpectedly. Other companies should really consider product-shaped vehicles for marketing. People love them!

Helena's fifth birthday

Ilse came over to play in the afternoon and have dinner with us.
The menu was potato soup and rolls. Helena requested a yellow cake with pink frosting.
The coloring book from Ilse was a hit and Helena generously let everyone color in it.

Valentine's Day vegetable

I made heart-shaped carrots using this tutorial.
That's fun, right?
Mark brought home heart-shaped balloons which was also very popular. Millie didn't get one this year, but she did like it whenever she got a chance to see one up close.

Penny in stripes

When Nora was little she used to love pairing a flowered shirt with flowered pants. "They match!" she would insist. Penny is the same way about stripes. This shirt is her favorite and she is convinced that it looks good with any striped pants.
 She's right.
She likes to add her tutu and galoshes to a striped base layer and then she's ready for anything.

Ready to show

We made (and had accepted) an offer on a house, so it was time to think about selling our home. Mark listed it on zillow.com and we were surprised by how quickly someone wanted to see it. We spent a frantic day getting ready for our first showing.
The work was worth it since they ended up buying the house after seeing it a few more times.
Now we have to pack everything!
