We visited one of the small towns near here on Saturday. The oldest surviving train depot in the state is there. The main street has fun shops.
We had a delicious lunch and dessert at the Weinhard Cafe. (Try the blackberry cobbler or chocolate toffee tart.)And huge ice cream cones at a local bakery.Outside of town there is a fromagerie. We bought cheese, picked and ate peas, and chatted with the goat herd.
The kids played at the park while some of the adults shopped at a small lavender/craft store. After a dinner on the patio of the Whoopemup Hollow Cafe in Waitsburg we headed home.

Didn't know there was a Whoopemup Hollow Cafe in Dayton too. We were just at the one in Waitsburg and were impressed with the food.
Wonder if it is owned by same people. (Google, here I come)s
We ate at the one in Waitsburg. Forgot to mention that we had traveled to the next small town. :)
